From Luther, 87:
During the war there was an incident where I came very close to death. My platoon was at the front in the ditches. I was thinking about my wife back home, pregnant with our first born. I could picture it all so clearly. The next second all I could think was “Duck, duck for cover!” It came as such a shock that I just ducked. No sooner did I hit the floor than the terror rained down.
I still carry the Uriel pendant my wife gave me before I left. If it wasn’t for him I would never have met my daughter.
