Today's Tarot Reading For Gemini

The Fool (Reversed)

The Fool (Reversed)

According to The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by A.E. Waite, The Fool is described as the following:

With light step, as if earth and its trammels had little power to restrain him, a young man in gorgeous vestments pauses at the brink of a precipice among the great heights of the world; he surveys the blue distance before him-its expanse of sky rather than the prospect below. His act of eager walking is still indicated, though he is stationary at the given moment; his dog is still bounding. The edge which opens on the depth has no terror; it is as if angels were waiting to uphold him, if it came about that he leaped from the height. His countenance is full of intelligence and expectant dream. He has a rose in one hand and in the other a costly wand, from which depends over his right shoulder a wallet curiously embroidered. He is a prince of the other world on his travels through this one-all amidst the morning glory, in the keen air. The sun, which shines behind him, knows whence he came, whither he is going, and how he will return by another path after many days. He is the spirit in search of experience. Many symbols of the Instituted Mysteries are summarized in this card, which reverses, under high warrants, all the confusions that have preceded it.

In his Manual of Cartomancy, Grand Orient has a curious suggestion of the office of Mystic Fool, as apart of his process in higher divination; but it might call for more than ordinary gifts to put it into operation. We shall see how the card fares according to the common arts of fortune-telling, and it will be an example, to those who can discern, of the fact, otherwise so evident, that the Trumps Major had no place originally in the arts of psychic gambling, when cards are used as the counters and pretexts. Of the circumstances under which this art arose we know, however, very little. The conventional explanations say that the Fool signifies the flesh, the sensitive life, and by a peculiar satire its subsidiary name was at one time the alchemist, as depicting folly at the most insensate stage.

Today's tarot card is The Fool card in reverse. When The Fool shows up in reverse, it indicates recklessness. It shows that you may not have been paying proper attention to what's going on around you, and you've missed some clear warning signs. You could now be in a bit of trouble.

The reversed Fool shows that perhaps you haven't taken the proper safety precautions necessary with some of your sensitive information. You may have been reckless with your banking information or haven't kept your social security credentials safe. The reversed Fool suggests you may get taken advantage of if your personal data ends up in the wrong hands.

Be careful with your banking information.

The reversed Fool is a warning to be careful with where you share your banking information. Now is a time to take extra care with it, so you don't get taken advantage of and become a victim of fraud.

Be sure not to share your credit card numbers or account security information with any random site. Be especially wary if you receive any emails asking for personal banking account information. They are most likely to be fake links used to steal your passwords and other data that can be used to commit fraud against you.

Keep your social security information safe and secure.

The reversed Fool card reminds you to keep your social security credentials safe and secure so no one can access them. That is your most important information.

Making sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands means keeping any documents or cards with your numbers and passwords are in a safe place where nobody can steal them. This also means being safe online and not giving out your information to just any website or telemarketer that calls, or posting them on social media where anybody can see them.

If someone were to access this sensitive personal information, they could commit identity theft and fraud against you. Worst case scenario, you can have a lot stolen from you if you are reckless. The reversed Fool is reminding you to use logic to protect yourself and your assets.

Practice caution when dealing with sensitive personal information.

The reversed Fool is here as a warning sign or red flag not to be foolish with your banking information, social security, and assets. Here are some of the best practices to follow to keep yourself safe and avoid future problems.

The best way to keep your banking information secure:

  • Check ATMs and debit machines before you use them for any data-stealing devices that may have been attached to them by thieves.
  • Make sure you keep your PIN covered so it can't be recorded or seen by anyone.
  • Keep track of where your cards are and frequently check to make sure they're in your wallet, where they should be.
  • Only put banking information or credit card numbers in verified sites that are certified for security.
  • Monitor your accounts and regularly check your bank statements for any unrecognized charges. Report it right away to your bank if you find any or are unsure.

How to keep your social security number safe:

  • Don't carry your social security card around with you in your wallet. Treat it like a passport and keep it somewhere safe in your home where nobody can get access to it.
  • Never give your number to anyone unless you are absolutely sure you can trust who you're giving it to, and it's a verified source.
  • If someone asks for your social security number, ask them why they need it and what it will be used for. One rule of thumb, though, is to never give it out over the phone or online.
  • Shred all papers that contain your social security information, such as mail and other paper documents.
  • Never use your social security number as a password.
